Two actions in the Crow Wing County District Court. One action was brought by Harriet Marlowe for personal injuries sustained in an accident which occurred when she was driving her husbands automobile and collided with one driven by defendant. The other action was against the same defendant and was brought by Thomas Marlowe, the husband, for damages to his automobile and for consequential damages for his wifes injuries. The cases were tried together before John T. Galarneault, Judge, and a jury, which returned verdicts for plaintiffs for $15,000 and $6,900 respectively. Defendant appealed from an order denying his motion for a new trial on the issue of damages.
